Wash & Care

Heavy-Duty wash (longest cycle) on warm (max. 140 F/60 C) with recommended amount of detergent. Make sure you use enough detergent.
Line dry when you can or tumble dry on medium.
Use a reputable, commercially available detergent, either plant-based or synthetic
Do not use laundry soaps such as castile or coconut-based soaps and detergents with fabric softener.

The bottom layer of the Lifesaver is lined with a waterproof material. That means that your bed, couch, or floor will stay dry as a bone and protected.

How do you wash & dry Lifesaver Mats?

We recommend a heavy-duty warm cycle with recommended commercially available detergent. Line dry when you can, but if you must, tumble dry low! Avoid any fabric softeners or dryer sheets to protect your mat’s absorbency.

What are they made of?

Each Lifesaver Mat is made of 3 layers: waterproof PUL, absorbent microfibre, and a top layer of stay dry charcoal. Get all the details here.

What are Lifesaver Mats used for?

This is the mat with a thousand uses. Waterproof PUL on one side, absorbent, soft, stay dry and stain resistant charcoal on the other, we are so proud of this product. How much can Lifesaver Mats absorb?

That’s a great question! Unfortunately it is a little tricky to answer. If you evenly and steadily distributed water across the entire mat, we could probably give you an amount, but that’s not really how most humans leak and therefore not how the mats get used. We do have this handy video to show you how our Lifesaver Mats absorb. This should give you an idea of how it works and if it will be a good fit for the mess you have in mind!

Excellent Mat for Protecting Floors

Purchased this mat to use for sensory/messy bins indoors to protect our floors underneath when the inevitable spills occur. The mat itself is great quality, super soft under side for the kids to sit on (I put the water proof side on the floor so the kids sit on the softer side and it absorbs water spills as they scoop and pour). Very easy to pop it in the dryer when they're done! The XL I found fit best for 2 kids and a bin on top.

I could see us using this for picnics in the Spring/Summer time. Will be purchasing from here again!!

Love this, works very well. Perfect for two people. Unfortunately with more than two people it’s a lil crowded. No issue at all tho it’s a fantastic product that has saved the lives of many blankets already
