Black Lives Matter – A Message From Our CEO

The only reason we haven’t issued a statement on the recent events happening in the world yet is because we want to make sure our stance means something.

Saying Black Lives Matter as a company is not hard… but we want to back it up with more than just a statement.

Personally, I feel that just having good intentions doesn’t mean a lot.

We say that we make quality products. We prove it by backing up our products with a 1 year warranty from the time you start using our products.

We say we truly appreciate your business. We show it by sending each and every order with a hand-written thank you card, little gifts and extras to show our gratitude.

We say that we care about our patrons. We back it up with our God Forbid Guarantee, which refunds the entire purchase amount if god forbid, you lose your pregnancy.

We say we want our diapers, an essential product, to be more affordable. We back it up with Baby Do Better program which provides diapers to struggling families at a subsidized cost.

We say that adopting and fostering children is doing God’s work. We back it up with giving foster and adoptive parents 2 free diapers with the purchase of a day pack.

I can go on and on. The point being, just saying something is not enough.

As a company, we only say things we mean. And the only way we can show we mean it is by doing something about it.

My heart says that as a community we should support and throw our weight, as tiny and as inconsequential as it might be, to show solidarity with our black brothers and sisters.

It is in that spirit that, after discussions with the women who participated in our Rainbow Baby Stories project, we have made the decision to divert 25% of the proceeds that we have collected from our Rainbow Baby diaper print to Black Mamas Matter. In partnership with the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) and SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, their mission is to create a world where black mamas have the rights, respect, and resources to thrive before, during, and after pregnancy.

If not us, then who? If not now, then when?
